Your certification path

From Certifications (on the welcome screen or in the side menu) you can see how the courses are organized. The path has two steps.

Step 1. Initial certification: Basics

Basics is the starting point and the prerequisite for any specialization. It is meant for anyone in the organization. At one or two hours a day it takes about a week, and it ends with a 20-question multiple-choice exam.

Step 2. Specialization for your profile

Once you pass Basics, continue with the specialization for your role:

• Data governance teams: Data Governance.
• Data engineering: Data Processing (we also recommend Data Governance).
• Data science: Artificial Intelligence (we recommend adding Data Processing and, if possible, Data Governance).
• Platform administration (sysadmins, DevOps): Operations.

Specializations take more time: two to three weeks at the same pace of one or two hours a day. They are assessed with a step-by-step guided practice in which you apply the product's key features in the practice environment.
