In this section, you will practically work with the Business Glossary within Stratio Data Governance.
Create a Domain within the “Stratio Training” Community, naming it after your username (e.g., in the "Stratio Training" Community, create the domain "eteniente"). From this point on, any new Business Term should be included in the Domain named after your user.
Create several Business Glossary elements of type Business Term:
Product: An item or service offered for sale. It could be a tangible good, like a physical product, or an intangible service provided to customers.
ShipMethod: The method or service used to deliver a product to the customer, such as ground shipping, air freight, or courier services.
SalesOrderDetail: Specific line-item information about a sales order, including product details, quantity, price, and other item-related information.
SalesOrderHeader: The main part of a sales order that includes overall details like order number, customer information, total amount, and order date.
SalesPerson: An individual responsible for selling a company's products or services, often interacting with customers and managing sales activities.
SalesTerritory: A defined geographical area or customer segment that a salesperson or sales team is responsible for, used to organize and manage sales efforts.
Create a Business Glossary element of type Business KPI called Average Sales Order Time (refers to the average amount of time it takes for a sales order to be completed from the moment it is placed by a customer until it is fully processed and fulfilled. This typically includes the time taken for order entry, processing, shipment, and delivery. It is an important metric used to evaluate the efficiency of the order management and fulfillment process.)
In the My Tasks section, filter by Draft status to locate the glossary elements you just created. Access each one to view its details. Transition them to the Need Modifications state by adding a comment.
Add Custom Attributes to the assets that you have transitioned to the Need Modifications state:
Product → requerido_[USER]
Average Sales Order Time → requerido_[USER]
6. Generate a Related Asset between the Business Term and both the dictionary table and the collection table.
7. Generate a Related Asset between the KPI and both the dictionary table and the collection table.
8. In the My Tasks section, filter by Need Modifications status to locate the glossary elements you just modified. Access each one to view its details and transition them to the Published state by adding a comment.
